Happy Monday to you all. Today brought the bright, clean look of a cold snowy day. We have had such a mild winter so far. A few cold days, especially last week. But overall, so much warmer. Makes our job here, taking care of the horses, a bit easier.

Posting info on this blog is something that I have to get used to doing. Just so many areas to spend time on that this is one area that I want to develop so that I can keep the communication to you going, if you choose to see it. I will try to make sure that I send a short email to you all to let you know there is an update.

If any of you have any information or photos that you would like to send me, to include on this blog, please do so. I love sharing the news of you all, whether it is about what you do here at PGS or something else that is important in your life. You are ALL very special to me, so please send me some news!

I wanted to get you the list and schedule of the upcoming horse shows. I don’t like to post this on the web, as I don’t want people who might be untrusting, to know our business. So, this or on the members’ page, is where you will find info. Please let me know if you have any additions or see a need for correction, or have any comments.

There will be some Dressage Shows added as we get the schedule, this is just getting you an early preview of what is available, so you can start selecting which ones you would like to participate in or to visit. We love to have our barn friends join us at the show!!!!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Please keep in mind that your horses need your constant attention to their coats and feet during the winter. Even though they have blankets on, they still need to be brushed with especially the stiff brush, to get the air flow and dry skin stimulated. They get very itchy and need your help. Please go over your horse very effectively at least once a week. They will love you for it.

Hooves are looking a little dry this winter, so it is a good idea to clean them well, on the fronts as well as the base of the foot, and moisture them with a hoof creme. Lots of products available and anything will help. Otherwise the soles get hard and crack, and so do the hoof walls.
